Building my side hustle part time

People keep asking me, "how I am creating a side hustle with a full time job, a family, and a health condition that can impede my energy and ability to do as much as I need to do?"

So here it is...the secret (that isn't a secret) to my success.

First and foremost, I realized that while I love my current job (Advertising/marketing) , I am working to make someone else's dreams come true, vs my own.

I also realized that while I feel strong and healthy today, there is a chance that my health could change and prevent me from being as capable physically as I am now.

I don't know about you, but when I turned 40 I realized that I was only half way through my working career (if you follow the 45 year plan of work to retire at 65). I also realized I wanted to do more, travel more, experience more, and make more money so I could afford to do it all, long after I was ready to stop working full time.

So once I had decided I wanted more, I had to find the right opportunity for me. It needed to be part time and flexible so I could maintain my current job, but also be able to spend time with my son when he is with me and leverage the time when he is with his father (sharing custody). And while I hate to admit it, I did need to be mindful that my health needs to be respected and rest and a balanced lifestyle is the key to my health success. Oh..ya..and had to be something that I was passionate about! no biggie..right?

So I was open, but hesitant to believe I would find something that checked all the boxes.

And then one day....my long time friend introduced me to some health products. I was complaining about how many pills I was taking to get all my supplements in each day, and she introduced me to Isotonix, which are supplements that I can drink! I loved them and was hooked on them because it meant I didn't have to take 15+ pills a day, it tasted great, and I felt even better! But when she told me there was a business behind this that would allow me to create a residual income part time, I had to know more.

Turns out the business is actually about shopping! That's right. I found a business that pays me to shop for things I am already buying. The health supplements were one small part, for those who already take supplements or looking for some to try.

This part that has become my passion. It has helped my health improve dramatically. But more so, has given me a path to helping others that are looking for either ways to improve their overall health and wellbeing as well as many others looking for a side hustle that has the flexibility and potential like mine does.

As much as I am loving helping people, the people I have met through this business have been instrumental in my growth, happiness, and success. Having a network of people who understand you, respect you, challenge you, and support you is invaluable and 100% needed when building your own business.

I don't know what your perfect side hustle is. But I do know you need to think about what you want, what you are willing and able to do to achieve it, and then you need to believe it is available for you to find or build.

You only have one life. You should make it the one you always dreamed it could be.

Best of luck to everyone. Hope you find yours,

xo Jess
